Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Delivery

  • Own the end-to-end project plan for each assigned migration, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies.
  • Manage multiple concurrent project tracks without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
  • Define and maintain detailed project charters, RACI matrices, and milestone trackers.
  • Lead project kick-offs, sprint reviews, steering committee sessions, and retrospectives.
  • Drive accountability across all workstream owners and escalate blockers proactively.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including executives, architecture leads, and business unit owners.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise status reports, executive dashboards, and risk registers.
  • Facilitate alignment between cloud engineering teams, network/security teams, and application owners.
  • Translate technical migration complexity into business-friendly language for leadership audiences.
  • Manage third-party vendors and implementation partners where applicable.

Cost Savings & Value Tracking

  • Partner with FinOps and finance stakeholders to quantify and track cost savings realized through each migration.
  • Flag scope changes or decisions that impact cost savings commitments and drive resolution.
  • Maintain a benefits realization tracker for each project aligned to program-level KPIs.
  • Identify and surface optimization opportunities during migration planning and execution phases.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Maintain a living risk and issues log, with owners and mitigation plans, updated for each project.
  • Anticipate technical and organizational risks inherent in cloud migrations and repatriation projects.
  • Coordinate rollback planning with engineering teams for each migration cutover.
  • Ensure all dependencies across concurrent projects are mapped and monitored.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technical project management experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, or data center environments.
  • Proven track record managing multiple concurrent, high-visibility projects with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms and data center operations.

  • Experience delivering projects with meaningful cost savings or efficiency mandates.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies: Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication skills — able to translate technical complexity for executive audiences.
  • Proficiency with PM tooling (Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risk, resolve blockers, and escalate issues effectively.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Direct experience managing cloud migration programs (GCP, AWS, or VMware-based workloads strongly preferred).

  • Familiarity with GCVE, VMware vSphere, or virtualization repatriation concepts is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited oversight in a contract or consulting capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OCI, GCP, or AWS cloud practitioner or architect-level certification.
  • Experience managing migration programs with explicit cost-savings mandates.
  • Background in FinOps or cloud financial management.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, change management, or ITSM frameworks.
  • Prior consulting or contract delivery experience across multiple clients or business units.
